Design Capabilities

Metals

Concept/Design services provide customers with creative solutions to complex needs.
Material thickness capabilities up to 6.5mm provides AMPI with the flexibility to produce light trim parts to heavy chassis, power train and cooling system components. Secondary stamping presses allow us to finish complex progressive parts. Metal assemblies are completed in-house utilizing our full welding capabilities.

CAD

AMPI utilizes 3 CAD systems: Catia V & Unigraphics. These systems combined with continuous software updates and ongoing education provide our customers with full service design support and development. A program can be designed as a black box or an existing design can be incorporated.

Advanced software allows testing of new designs utilizing virtual prototyping.

Rapid Prototyping is also available.

Plastics

AMPI produces injection molded thermoset plastic parts. These plastics are used in electrical and high heat applications.
A full range of plastic injection molding machines provide high quality engineered thermoplastics components. These components range in size from chairs and fender shrouds to small interior trim parts. All parts can be 100% molded in color to meet our customer's stringent color requirements.
